But what exactly is this? According to the touristic website of Antwerp:

Precious new life was breathed into an abandoned 24-hectare railway marshalling yard in 2008/9 when the Park Spoor Noord opened. Now a large panoramic green park emphasising greenery, light, space, leisure, culture, sport and events. It boasts play areas, a spectacular BMX and skate bowl, two cooling water fountains for children to splash in and a shelter with a temporary summer terrace, run by Bar Cargo, which sees the trendy set settling in – in the summer! Antwerpers sun their bodies, play and relax in this gem of a park – Park Spoor Noord, almost unimaginable in a city…

You are never going to believe this, but I didn’t take any pictures of the park… Nope. My attention was attracted by something else: graffiti! Right next to the skate bowl.

In summer this tends to be a crowded place, but now, apart from some skaters, we were alone.
