The Music Maze Playground, Straford, London

By Davis Landscape Architecture @DavisLandArch

On my visit to Queen Elizabeth Park, Stratford London, I was drawn to an area which was generating some kind of music. It was coming from the Music Maze by many children, all playing to their own tune. The Music Maze was temporarily installation at Queen Elizabeth Park and is a mobile percussion playground that features a collection of tuned instruments and sound makers built entirely from recycled materials. The Music Maze is an idea conceived by Acoustic Arts and I believe a good one. It appeared to be loved by young children as there was a constant background percussive sound in the vicinity of this installation.
