Disney + has just released episode 7 of "The Mandalorian", which confirms the existence of a new force power in the Star Wars universe.

This week's episode of The Mandalorian features the use of a fairly new Force power. In this episode 7, titled The Reckoning in VO, we discover that "Baby Yoda" manages to use the Force to treat Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), wounded by one of the flying creatures which attacks the camp. While he is on the verge of death, the little creature approaches him, touches him and heals the poisoned wound thanks to the Force. This power had been teased in episode 2, but "The Child" had failed to use it.

This power is technically old since the Legend universe of Star Wars had presented this ability, which already used Sith or Cade Skywalker, the son of Luke. The Legend universe consisted of many comics, role-playing games, novels and other products of the extended Star Wars universe, now obsolete but from which the current writers have been drawing this "new" power.

Released on December 18 in the United States, this 7th episode showed for the first time in the "official" world of Star Wars this healing power allowed by the Force. This prepared the cinema spectators who, as of December 20, could discover this power used by Rey in The Ascension of Skywalker. An interesting way to have prepared the American public for this new possibility in the "canon" universe.
