About a week after the gray shirt, jeans and the left arm of a crew member were discovered Chapter 12 of the Mandalorianthe gaffe was ruthlessly scrubbed out of the Star Wars canon. Disney relegated the crewmember who came to be known as the "Jeans Guy" to the same closet as high profile TV bugs like that coffee pot in the final season of Game of Thrones.
Sharp-eyed fans quickly noticed the appearance - and then the disappearance - of the crew member in the fourth episode of the second season, which aired November 20 on Disney Plus. The hard-to-spot sucker briefly interrupts a scene in which Greef Karga, Cara Dune and Mando are infiltrating an old imperial base in order to blow it up.
Around 6:54 p.m., Jeans Guy appears next to the scene, which is partially hidden behind a wall, taking care of his own business, before disappearing as the gang races guards out of the way again.
The fans mourned the loss of the short new character.
"Jeans Guy has been removed from The Mandalorian Chapter 12," read a tweet on November 26th. "RIP Jeans Guy".
Unfortunately we will never see the action figure.
Keen eyes spotted the gaffe on the day the episode was released.
Experience a new episode of The Mandalorian every Friday on Disney Plus. Let's see if Jeans Guy can be followed with another gaffe, just like the Game of Thrones finale that was reached with his Drinking bottle debacle.
