Verdict on The Lady of the Lake

The Lady of the Lake is a mystery following a local community that suffers a tragedy related to a legend of the local area. One year later the sister of the victim looks for answers, which sees her learning more about the mystery behind the legend.

This movie dives into community legends and understanding traditions which could bring more people together. It highlights the dangers the legend presents and how people should respect the history of the area they live in. This does create some creepy moments, but never seems to dive into the full horror behind the legend. It ends up focusing more on the aftermath and wanting to learn more and even stop it from coming back again. This is an easy watch, without hitting any of the truly frightening levels it could have.
