Verdict on The Knocking

The Knocking is a horror thriller following three siblings who return to their childhood home. They haven’t been there since they were young and now the memories of the home have come back to haunt them. However, they are not prepared for what the forest has for them.

This is a horror that gets to dive deeper into a mythology concept in horror. It works by creating an uncomfortable creature that could visit if things are not done a certain way. While offering the discussion they might not be as real. The movie creates an uneasy atmosphere, as well as bringing real-life problems the siblings have to life. This leads to the disturbing moments in the movie that end up leaving you shocked by what it has to offer.

The performances are great and help elevate the real-world problems the characters are going through. While the location helps create an isolated feeling, that explores the troubled past they have come from. It uses disturbing urban legends that crawl under the skin, to add plenty to the tense atmosphere created.

Where to Watch: The Knocking is on digital platforms on the 4th of September.

Final ThoughtsThe Knocking is a tense, suspenseful horror movie.
