Last weekend saw the end of year show for the first set of Vanilla Inkers. I've talked about my experiences of some of the Vanilla Ink evening classes, but their main objective is to offer business development and studio space to jewelry graduates and others looking to make a career in the biz. I have to say I was very impressed with this first batch. I'd had a peek at some of their work at previous events but there was something really special about seeing the full collections displayed together. Each jeweler has their own unique style but they all fitted together against the black and white Vanilla Ink backdrop. For those of you who couldn't make it along, here's a little look at what each of the jewellers had to offer.
Audrey Reid
The Wee Robin
Sally-Anne Jewellery
Ruth A Morrison
Joanne MacFadyen
Filipa Oliveira
Scarlett Erskine
Leanne T Evans
Victoria Kelsey
Check out the awesome video and images that were created for the event. Also, can I just say how in love I was with the RARA dundee paper dresses. If they were fabric I would have snapped one up in an instant.
The list of Inkers for 2014 is up on the Vanilla Ink blog. It looks like Dundee will be welcoming another creative and exiting bunch and I can't wait to see what they come up with.
