Hello folks!This article deals with the word, yes, you read it right, the word which has acquired a prominent position in our daily conversation, 'SARCASM'. This word has affected our way of conversing be it with friends, family or even with a small kid! Now some of you may think that it fashion our conversation with full humiliation as its literal meaning states- a form of humor that is marked by mocking with irony. But let's just modify its meaning which you can all relate to- it's the ability to insult people without them realizing it,(NO OFFENCE PLEASE!) How about this guys? or maybe, I'd like to quote here, "It's the body's natural defense against stupidity!" (I completely agree to it)Being sarcastic is now a common habit for most of us, it's so standard now a days that people themselves don't realize that they are being sarcastic and it has become an art for most of us, if it was science, we already have our Diplomas in it!See, take this example my friend gave me- the rate at which sarcasm is released from my mouth is directly proportional to the rate at which stupidity is released from yours! (well, you must have noticed till now I haven't used full stop as much as I have used the exclamation mark)It was from a scientist's point of view. Now ask a social worker, he/she would probably say, "It's just a free service that I offer!" well, now ask a chef of a restaurant he/she would add on his/her menu card- "SARCASM: served all day" (well, I'm the first one to buy it!)So whether you agree or not sarcasm has become an integral part of our life, and speaking without being sarcastic is like living a day without your WiFi.
From my personal experience I can say that being sarcastic with your peers can actually make them see their reality without feeling much offended, which is actually good for them as sometimes sarcasm improve a person's presence of mind and IQ level as well, according to a research. I'm sure that most of you may have heard this quote i.e. 'Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but it's also the highest form of intelligence' and I bet that anyone who had seen any episode of the famous holly-wood television show - friends would definitely agree to it! Now for more I would like to share my personal experience depicting sheer sarcasm and sheer stupidity! Well, the worst part of sarcasm is that when someone take it seriously. One of my friend scored just half mark more than me and she kept bragging it and I told her, 'girl, you are the topper (sheer sarcasm)' and guess what, she replied, 'I know i'm (sheer stupidity)' and my reaction was, 'please, someone quickly give me a swiz knife!'
So guys, now it's totally up to you, if you want to be sarcastic and be on the intelligent side or want to remain dumb! ( No offense, seriously)
But could we survive in a world without sarcasm? Well, the answer can be, "That is a hell on earth I don't care to think about" - Jaokim
