Troon Vineyard | Sangiovese 2014

 Troon Vineyard’s version of old-world sunny Sangiovese begs for mealtime company. A touch of Syrah keeps things interesting.

Wine:  Troon Vineyard Sangiovese 2014 – Applegate Valley AVA, Southern Oregon

Vintage:  2014

Varietal(s):   Sangiovese 92.3%,  Syrah 7.7% as a co-ferment

Alcohol:  13%

TASTING NOTES:

Robe:  Deep ruby robe.

Nose:   Red fruit, fig, umami backnote.

Palate:  No-fuss, light-bodied, food friendly wine. The touch of syrah lends a hint of savory.

Suggested Pairings:  This uncomplicated wine will accent pasta, tapas, or similar rustic fare.
