The Hedonistic Taster
by L.M. Archer
A few years ago I interviewed Mark McNeilly of Mark Ryan Winery for Foodable Network. The story showcased his unconventional success story, one that looks more like a cautionary tale than an entrepreneurial blueprint. But it works.
In part because of his business savvy. In part because he knows when to ask for help. In part because he has a knack for infectious leadership.
Most of all, because he’s got the good stuff – impeccable fruit sourced from Eastern Washington’s most pedigreed vineyards.
He figured that one out early. No surprise, then, that Mark Ryan Winery consistently produces a relentless array of high quality wines reflective of both place and person.
In honor of the upcoming 2018 Auction of Washington Wines Private Barrel Auction, of which Mark Ryan Winery is a participant, I thought it appropriate to share this duo of Mark Ryan Winery Syrahs.
TASTING NOTES:
Wine: Mark Ryan Winery Wild Eyed Syrah – Red Mountain, WA.
