I mentioned way back in March that I was again considering a Facebook page for the Harvey Mercheum. A blog post I read recently made me finally follow through. The post, by Kevin Muldoon, can be read here:

I have frequently lamented that I waited too long to start this website, and that I get few comments on my posts. But as Kevin writes:
Popular blogs that used to generate hundreds or even thousands of comments are now struggling to generate a few comments. It is more common for readers to share an article on social media and post their opinion there than leave a comment on the blog itself.
It is possible that had I started this website sooner, and received the volume of comments I wanted, that I would now be wondering why the number of comments was tapering off. Part of the answer that Kevin provides at the end of the post is to embrace social media. I am doing that by finally setting up a Facebook page:
