Story: The Ghost Station starts when journalist Na-young (Bo-ra Kim) finds her career in danger after a reporting error. However, one of her sources U-won (Jae Hyum Kim) has just been through a strange event late at night at the Oksu train station. He was a witness to a suicide where not everything added up.

Once Na-young starts investigating the case, she finds herself dealing with unexplainable events. After a second suicide, Na-young finds herself diving deeper than before, learning about the history of the area. This leads her to a disturbing series of events that have a connection to the deaths.

Verdict on The Ghost Station

The Ghost Station is a horror mystery thriller following a journalist and public service worker investigating a string of mysterious deaths at a train station. They both believe they have been struck by the curse that ends up going viral as the mystery continues. However, once they dive deeper into the truth, they find an even more disturbing story.

This is one of my personal favorite types of horror. We get to see a mystery needing to be solved while bringing us relentless hauntings of the characters. These types of movies really know how to get under the skin and leave you feeling disturbed throughout.

This one captures the scares well, along with the disturbing truth. While also bringing a more open-to-the-new-world perspective to the lead journalist. They put her firmly in the clickbait for more ads world of journalism, rather than an important story. Even though this is a Korean movie, the best way to describe it, would be, Ringu, Ju On: The Grudge and the movies along those lines.

Final Thoughts The Ghost Station is a welcome addition to the mystery ghost movies.
