Verdict on The Ghost Lights

Characters

Alex is the journalist following in her father’s footsteps. She is doing this alone, in a hope of reconnecting with him as she says goodbye. Only she learns more about how dangerous this journey is, most of this journey is done without her needing to say anything, letting her reaction show how she feels.

Arthur is Alex’s father that was interviewing the person who knows about the ghost lights. He becomes more interested as the story unfolds.

Performances

Katreeva Phillips in the leading role is good. It is hard for her to make the biggest impact, as she is only really listening to tapes on the journey. This is going to be the same for the performances throughout the whole movie, it is more focused on the mystery involved.

Story

The story follows a journalist following in her father’s footsteps about a mysterious ghost light from the desert. It shows the interviews which slowly give away more about what happened. It leaves us wondering where everything will end up.

This is an interesting story because it follows the mystery of an event that involved a loved one. It highlights how certain stories can be retraced to connect after death, only using the supernatural twist on it all. It might not end up being the biggest story, but it gets everything that needs to give us a mystery.

Final ThoughtsThe Ghost Lights is an interesting mystery and journey.
