The French Web3 Platform Establish to Be the Shopify of the Metaverse Boosts €3M in Seed Funding

European startup A new white label option for businesses entering the metaverse is METAV.RS. With the help of a number of Web3 apps offered by the no-code content management platform, premium brands and merchants may control their own virtual worlds or miniverses.

The METAV.RS technology is directly integrated with a company’s standard e-commerce website, making it easier to create and sell NFTs or dematerialized commodities as well as to improve consumer experiences.

Major metaverses and social networks can communicate with the platform. It works with well-known e-commerce platforms and safe payment methods.

“We aim to be the Shopify of the metaverse,” says co-founder Clément Foucher. “ We have a similar business model with our plug and play solutions from virtual dressing rooms to digital twins.”

The team has introduced a 3D reconstruction program (3D Builder) that makes it simple to scan actual things.Digital twins that can be integrated across the metaverse and/or into product pages on e-commerce websites can be made using the models generated.The aim? both to increase sales and to democratize brand access to the metaverse.

He continues that the team is constructing a global transformation program for one client in particular that involves tokenizing its loyalty program and offering both virtual and physical benefits.

“Assets could be digital twins, access to specific events, a vote in the DAO. The more NFTs you have, the more perks you will have,” he says. “It’s a global gamification program for gen Z. The overall customer experience will be completely reimagined.”

The French “Blockchain Valley” Vierzon-based company, which has offices in Paris, Angers, and Hong Kong, has received €3 million in seed funding from a group of investors led by Jsquare, a specialized Web3 fund based in Singapore, as well as Sia Partners, a leading global French consulting firm, and 50 Partners.

Business angels including Ledger co-founder David Balland, The Sandbox co-founder and CEO Sébastien Borget, serial entrepreneur Michael Amar, Thibault Renouf, CEO of Partoo, Joel Hazan, Managing Director & Partner of BCG, Sébastien Lalevée, CEO of Financière Arbevel, and CEO of Golden Bees and manager of 50 Partners’ web3 accelerator Jonathan Bordereau also support the round.

To hasten platform development, templatization, and worldwide expansion, the funding will be used for IT training and recruitment. By the end of 2023, METAV.RS plans to increase its staff size.

Naver, a leading Korean web and metaverse company, incubated METAV.RS, which has 20 workers, at Station F in Paris. Four partners—Simon and Clément Foucher, Jérémie Salvucci, and Adrien De Lavenere-Lussan—founded it in January 2022.Their backgrounds range from entrepreneurship to 3D, engineering, software development, and video production, as well as digital transformation and marketing.

In the upcoming months, METAV. RS will also take part in a number of events, some of which it will even produce NFT collections for, such as the Web Summit in Lisbon, GITEX in Dubai, CES in Las Vegas, and NRF in New York.
The startup has already developed a MetaJacket NFT that can be used in both Decentraland and The Sandbox for the Metaverse Summit.
