If 'Noo Yawkers' have nothing new in the way of musicals on Broadway they can always try for tickets to the State Court in Albany where a blockbuster is due to open any time. A chap called Eric Schneiderman - no, he's not a theatrical impressario, he's a lawyer, but no doubt he's as full of BS as any luvvie. Actually, he's more than just a lawyer, he's the State's Attorney and he has decided to sue 'Trump University'. I carefully place the inverted commas around the title because it is no longer called that and I wouldn't want anyone suing me - especially Donald Trump! Anyway, Interactive Investor provides the details:
(Reuters) - New York state's attorney general said on Sunday he has filed a
$40 million (25.7 million pounds) lawsuit against Donald Trump and his
for-profit investment school, accusing them of engaging in illegal business
practices.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman alleged that the real estate
mogul, a former executive and the Trump Entrepreneur Institute - called Trump
University until 2010 - made false claims about classes at the school, including
that Trump handpicked instructors.
"No one, no matter how rich or popular they are, has a right to scam
hard-working New Yorkers," Schneiderman said in a statement.
That statement by Mr. Schneiderman, which I have emphasised, tells you all you need to know about him! Needless to say, one is led to suppose that the state-run, union-controlled schools of 'Noo York', paid for by , er, "hard-working New Yorkers" who are ripped off for the cost whether they like it or not, are the very epitome of value for money. No doubt Mr. Schneiderman's boss, 'Hizzoner', Governor Andrew Cuomo, will be pleased because the case should appear in the courts nicely in time for his re-election campaign next year and anyone who can ruffle Trump's ridiculous hair is bound to garner zillions of Democrat votes.
