Nothing could be simpler to make than this sweet milk jam. Okay, it's 100% calories, but you won't be able to resist it, whether on slices of bread, on pancakes, in cakes or biscuits, or simply straight from the spoon; it's simply divine. Here's the foolproof recipe for this jam, since the only ingredient you need is a can of sweetened condensed milk. Alright, get out your pressure cooker...
Makes 2 jars of milk jam: 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk
- Place the closed cans in the bottom of a pressure cooker.
- Cover with water until it's 1cm above the cans.
- Close the cooker and count 35 minutes from when the valve starts rotating for large cans, and 25 minutes for small ones. If you don't have a pressure cooker, you can do it in a saucepan for 3 hours (always ensuring that the cans are covered with water).
- Remove the cans and let them cool.
- You can transfer them into glass jars and refrigerate them. If you're not consuming them immediately, don't open the cans and place them in the fridge; they will keep longer.
