Raf Simons is certainly coming into his own at Dior, now creating pieces that'll be the future of this luxury fashion house. For his Fall/Winter 2013 outing, Raf designed a elegant collection that beautifully incorporates his (and Mr Dior's) love of the artistic.
Set among a classic-esque Dior palette, artistic renderings from Andy Warhol were painted, embroidered, and printed on Raf's creations. The designer used his signature minimalistic aesthetic to incorporated Mr. Warhol's work in the subtlest of ways.
What's amazing, at least for me, is Raf seemed to showed a side of Andy Warhol that most don't know. There weren't any oversized soup cans or electric Jackie O's in sight, instead we saw Warhol's sketches brought to bright and colorful life.
I truly believe that Raf Simons was the perfect choice to lead Dior into a new era and I can't wait to show more of his beautiful creations as the seasons go by.
