The Fallback Plan

We’ve talked about how important meal planning. For the health of our bodies, for the health of our stomachs. But sometimes, things just aren’t meant to be.

Friends, we tried. We soaked a cup of beans for nearly 24 hours until they were gorgeously plump and ready for simmering. But then we stayed at the gym for too long, and lost a set of house keys….

By the time we’d have gotten through cooking these lovely white beans, it would be time for “goodnight!” and lights out.

We took a breather. We cracked a beer.

There’s always pizza.
