About the pic: Conchita Wurst is an Austrian pop recording artist and drag queen portrayed by Thomas “Tom” Neuwirth, 27, who came to international attention after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 as Austria’s entrant with the song “Rise Like a Phoenix”. Neuwirth said he does not identify as a transgender woman, but as a man, and that he is a homosexual and a drag queen. He uses female pronouns for his Wurst alter-ego, but male pronouns when referring to himself.
