Discover behind the scenes and exclusively on AlloCiné the backstage of Damien Chazelle's musical series for Netflix entitled The Eddy.

Welcome to The Eddy Jazz Club. While waiting to discover the series on May 8 on Netflix, AlloCiné allows you to familiarize yourself a little more with its universe, through this making-of which takes us through the streets of the French capital. Because it was in Paris that Damien Chazelle and his team set up their cameras. With The Eddy, the filmmaker passionate about music (Whiplash, La La Land) wanted this time to prove that art has no language or nationality. With his first series, he tells the story of a group of people devoted to music, who meet up every night in a jazz club to express their passion.

The Eddy is led by Andre Holland, as a famous New York jazz pianist. While he discovers that his partner Farid (Tahar Rahim) is undoubtedly involved in a dubious affair, other secrets come to light that Amira (Leïla Bekhti), Farid's own wife, ignored. And when Elliot's daughter, Julie, a disturbed adolescent, suddenly arrives in Paris to live with her father, the personal and professional universe of the latter gradually collapses. Because he must face the ghosts of the past while struggling to save the club and protect those who are dear to him.

The Netflix series offers a choice cast - including Benjamin Biolay that we see in these images - and quality directors: Houda Benyamina (Divines), Laïla Marrakchi and Alan Poul will each direct two episodes out of the 8 that make up the season 1.

If this making-of The Eddy convinced you, you will have to wait until May 8 before discovering the result!
