When I had told two specific people a long time ago that God spoke to me, they claimed to me that God spoke to them all of the time.
I knew their words were not the truth.
The Lord does not go around holding day to day conversations with people.
Yes, our Lord communicates with us through his Holy Spirit, through his Word, through people, and through spiritual faculty.
What I was referring to was God’s actual voice talking directly to me.
When I told someone else about this encounter of mine, they told me the Lord spoke to them three times, and another person told me the Lord spoke to her two or three times.
Their accounts seemed plausible to me.
God only comes to talk to us within this fashion when we are in trouble.
The first time the Lord spoke to me it was after an aunt of mine poisoned me with a drug. She was a very jealous, malicious, and sick-minded individual.
I was eighteen years of age at the time. The Lord called me by my name, told me who he was, then assured me that I was going to be okay.
I doubted that God was actually speaking to me, but he confirmed to me that it was him in his gentle and reassuring voice.
He was not the only Spirit to speak to me back then.
The devil had also spoke trying to convince me that he was God, however, it was obvious to me that he was not. His voice sounded like a smooth-talking hustler who was only out for himself.
It was a test of my heart and faith as well as the Lord himself coming to my rescue from being on the possible verge of a near death experience.
During this ordeal I received a preternatural message. It was revealed to me that my aunt would end up in a mental hospital within a week from the time this all took place.
Sure enough, after a week had passed, my aunt Tina was admitted into the psychiatric ward.
As I always knew, her dirt had caught up with her and backfired.
The Lord does not like ugly.
