The Death of Pop, a bedroom duo made up of brothers Oliver and Angus James, have shared new single ‘Go Back’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Seconds’ on 19 March. Following releases on indie stalwarts Too Pure and Art is Hard the band have now signed to Discos de Kirlian & Hidden Bay Records and the new single finds them in melodic and melancholic mood. There are elements of Stereolab, The Electric Soft Parade and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart in the genteel and jangly hooks that sublimely – and effortlessly – complement the pulsing synths.
