Netflix The Crown has cast actress Emma Corrin to play Princess Diana, the first wife of Prince Charles in season 4 of the award winning series.
Season three is expected to premiere at some point this year, although Netflix has yet to confirm an exact date.
We’ve had a long wait between season 2 and 3 in part due to the fact that they had to change the cast, since everyone will be older in the next installment.
Olivia Coleman takes on the role of Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter as Elizabeth’s sister Princess Margaret in the next installment.
