The Christmas Holiday & Party Mad Monday

By Carlo @CarloAtYourServ
Due to the Christmas Holiday, this weeks Party Mad Monday article obviously wasn't posted.
The good thing about that is... this gives me more time to work on next Monday's post, which will be posted on New Year's Eve day.
Party Mad Monday's are kind of a "trip", anyway.
You might not think this would be the case, but it takes more time for me to write a Party Mad Monday post than a typical catering or party planning post. I believe it's because I have to think about what approach I want to take. I can practically plan and cater parties in my sleep, I've been doing it for so long.  Yet, to say whatever it is I think about the plight of today's consumer is a whole different thing.
You know it's not like I don't have an opinion about what you are going through because clearly, you know that by now if you've been reading Party Mad Monday posts here on Cater-Hater.  I mean... it's really important to me to speak my truth. And, it's equally important to me to share my honest feelings about how I feel concerning what most of you guys are going through with these party business owners out here who are trying to get your money. And sure, of course that's what capitalism is all about... to an extent.
But, I feel like this: mess with my people... and that's a problem.
And who, pray tell, are these people that I call "my people"? All of you who read Cater-Hater, that's who. And those who don't, too; just people feeling frustrated and challenged, trying their best to deal with with various aspects of doing business with the whole party scene. I hear negative stuff about caterers and party planners from people, from all over the place, all the time -- online and offline. The reoccurring theme seems to be, you guys are just plain fed up about money on a lot of levels, period. I feel the same way. So, of course I don't blame you. It's tough enough as it is, when you're trying to put together a party, without all of the other stresses in life.
So yeah... the truth of the matter is that when I consider how you guys feel (and how I feel as a consumer, too), it's super important to me to express that I value you and your opinions and your financial struggles. Because the real deal is that we all matter in the universe.
Stay tuned.

I do this... I write to help to create to opportunities for all who choose to pursue their passion to have parties almost irregardless regard to economic constraints.
I think if we keep talking about the cost of parties (I write blog posts, you write comments), together, maybe we can break down some of the party industry's price barriers and shame some of the people who've taken your money and delivered a poor quality product right into growing a conscious and treating you right (nice thought, huh?).
Opportunities to be inspired about parties are everywhere. Yet, people looking out for your wallet are few and far between. My goal is to inspire you, causing you to question the way things are that have been the status quo for too long. When we stand together and speak up, we can be a powerful force.
Let's keep the conversation of change going. Because in the sea of everyone talking, one voice is a whisper... several voices are a scream.
Leave a comment and share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions below. Remember to be as specific as possible because what you have to say helps us all.
Always... be encouraged and encourage others too,

“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.” - Steve Jobs
