Xfinity is a massive internet provider that operates in 41 of the 50 US states. If you live in one of these states and are an Xfinity customer, it means you can sign up to Xfinity Mobile and enjoy the offers and perks without the need for additional frames.

Xfinity Mobile uses the Verizon wireless network and even offers 5G access in certain parts of the US. There are also millions of secure Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots across the country that you can connect to and save your amount of data. There are no activation or phone line access fees and data starts at $ 15 per month. You can bring your own device or buy a phone from Xfinity.

There are only two types of phone plans, but you can mix and match them or pay for different data tiers. We'll highlight a lot on a new iPhone first, but you can scroll down to see the best deals and plans for Xfinity Mobile.

Best Xfinity Mobile Plans:

  1. Through the gig
  2. Unlimited
  3. Combine the two
  4. Tablet and smartwatch plans
Publisher's Note: We will update this post with any changes to the Xfinity Mobile plans.

1. Through the gig

This is the restricted data version of Xfinity Mobile and there are three options to choose from. They all come with unlimited speaking and text so it's all about the amount of data.

While pricing isn't as cheap as some providers, the Xfinity Mobile plans have a nice twist: they let you share data across multiple lines at no additional cost, up to a maximum of five lines.

The cheapest option is the 1GB plan, which is only $ 15 per month. This is a pretty skimpy permit, so it's only really suitable if you rarely use your cellular data and just want an inexpensive cellular line. You can always pay an additional $ 15 per GB GB if you need it.

You can increase up to 3GB or 10GB per month for $ 30 and $ 60, respectively. Again, there are MVNOs that offer better value for money in terms of data. Note, however, that this data can be shared across multiple lines at no additional cost. If your family is on the Xfinity Internet and you want to save money having everyone get a phone line with text, voice, and data, one of these plans is a great choice. For example, if there are four of you in the household and nobody has particularly high data requirements, sharing a 10GB plan is only $ 15 per person.

With all By the Gig plans, you get HD quality video streaming and higher quality cellular service during times of high network traffic, like in a crowded stadium. This is of higher quality compared to the Unlimited plan as all Xfinity Mobile traffic can be slowed down during times of network congestion.

2. Unlimited

With the Unlimited plan, Xfinity Mobile is starting to really compete with other MNVOs in terms of price.

Unlike the By the Gig plan, which can be shared across multiple lines, you pay a flat monthly fee of $ 45 per line for unlimited data. If you find yourself not taking advantage of the extra amount of data, you can always use the Xfinity Mobile app to switch your plan to By the Gig.

While this is much cheaper than some unlimited data packets, it has some limitations. Streaming is SD and not HD in the By the Gig plan. Also, during times of high network traffic advantage, you will not get a higher quality cellular service, although you can purchase an HD Pass to get it. In addition to being able to slow down in times of network congestion, you will get a slower speed after 20 GB of usage per line.

3. Combine the two

What if you need unlimited data but the kids don't? Maybe it's the other way around when you factor in games and YouTube. Either way, you can have a combination of Unlimited and By the Gig plans on your account that suits your needs.

It works exactly as you'd expect, but unfortunately there is no savings to be made by combining them. You could have an unlimited plan for one line and then a by the gig plan for two, three, or four other lines to share. For an unlimited plan for $ 45 and a 3GB plan for the $ 30 gig, your total bill would be $ 75 per month.

All of your plans can be managed through the Xfinity Mobile app, so you can switch them every month until you find the best combination for your budget.

4. Tablet and smartwatch plans

One benefit of being able to use multiple lines in one plan at no additional cost is that tablets and smartwatches can be added as well. Each device counts as one line in the account, and unlimited calls and texts are included.

While there is no additional cost to share your plan's data with other devices, you'll have to pay an additional $ 10 per month to plug in any device that isn't a phone. So you can have a tablet on your account with its own unlimited plan for $ 55 per month, or a smartwatch that shares a By the Gigs plan for an additional $ 10 on top of what you're already paying for.

As with smartphones, you can bring your own device to Xfinity Mobile or purchase one from the carrier. While the choice of phones varies, the tablets and smartwatches available in the online shop are limited to Apple devices. If you want the latest iPad Pro or Apple Watch Series 5, you're in luck. Otherwise, you may need to get your device from another location.
