The Best Pumpkin Pie for Kids

By Barbarayesspaces @Barbara_Miller

When you have a large family, Thanksgiving is more than just about food. It's about seeing people you love, taking a break, and making traditions!

As my kids have gotten older one of the best parts of Thanksgiving is the division of tasks when it comes to preparing the meal. Stuffing is my specialty, mashed potatoes is my husband's, and the deserts seem to have been taken over by my two oldest kids, Daley and Ella.

Daley and Ella's Famous Personal Pumpkin Pie

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2/3 cup of Condensed Milk
  • One can of Pumpkin Pie Mix
  • Pie crusts - make your own with graham crackers and butter, or a traditional crust, or, buy the pre-made ones!

Pre-heat the oven to 425 and bake at 425 for 10 minutes, and then reduce the temp to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.

These pies, while easy to make taste absolutely amazing - we top them with whipped cream and cinnamon. If you're feeling adventurous you can also add other Thanksgiving embellishments. And, one of our favorite features is that because they are personal pies, the kids don't get upset when the slice doesn't look 'perfect.' They also double as great neighborhood gifts.

Wishing you a very happy, healthy, fun and memorable Thanksgiving from the Stein Family!
