  • Download the island map and set it up in the “Start new expedition” menu in the Hermitorium’s new loading screen image while the island is loading.

Arcana display

  • optimized the memory footprint of Arcana textures
  • added a new column with predictions and classifications
  • fresh textures in high definition for Arcana slots
  • UI support for empty slots (Arcanum that couldn’t conjure since Prophecy was set on a specific row) has been added.
  • enhanced user interface support for locked slots (Arcanum, where interaction has been blocked due to certain Omen)
  • altered Arcanum details to show both the base and increased charismata levels (when Omen increases the strength of a certain Arcanum).
  • Instead of the previous categories (Firearm Arcanum / Spells Arcanum / Varia Arcanum), Arcanum descriptions now show many states of a given Arcanum (Unknown Arcanum / Arcanum / Awakened Arcanum / Corrupted Arcanum).
  • For consistency, the action name “Unlock” was changed to “Awaken.”

Corrupted arcana

  • new animation for revealing the Corrupted Arcana row; new texture / VFX displayed under activated Corrupted Arcanum to distinguish it from a regular Arcanum; and new UI support for Corrupted Arcana in the Arcana Screen

Prophecies

Hermitorium’s Objectives

Launch a fresh expedition

  • modified the method by which the “Start new expedition” menu’s maps are switched between. Consistency with previous menus has led to it defaulting to Q/E (and LB/RB on the gamepad). As a quality-of-life feature, the old actions (A/D and LT/RT) are still silently maintained.
  • enhanced user interface support for various level objectives. Establish the Island of the Damned objective, which is distinct from the Irongate Castle and Scarlet Coast objectives.
  • since Island of the Damned is the new starting level, it was changed from Scarlet Coast as the default selected level.
  • Scarlet Coast needs to locate an appropriate navigation chart because it is now locked by default.

Workshop

Redesigned credits in-game

  • modified the Charismata widget (which is used by both Arcana and Inspect Screen) to make it more configurable, showing the text “LOST” in place of the gold balance in the Post-Run Screen following a failed run. It ought to simplify the mechanics of riches and gold.

  • removed the information about Angelica Cap from the Apothecary popup since it was occasionally deceptive.
