The Armored Combat League - Battle of the Nations

Commenting on the all-pervasive entertainment show American Gladiators, comedian Bill Hicks once said, "Give those fuckers chainsaws!" and that looks like what we have here.
The Armored Combat League takes Superbowl tacticians to the Renaissance arena with its 5-on-5 all-in medieval combat tournaments.
"A full-contact steel-weapons last-man-standing battle," so says all-American ACL co-founder Andre Sinou in the following video.

Personally, I'd like to see more than 5 on 5, like 11 on 11 would sport-ise it more, and get those shields interlinked: show me your strongest defensive line - Romans vs Celts - Vikings vs Huns - Persians vs Spartans etc... A chariot maybe? An oliphant? We all saw Ridley Scott's GLADIATOR, right? There's the blue-print already.
So, you know you're in a Global Roman Republic when Colosseum mentality looks this much fun.
