Verdict on The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster
The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster is a horror reimaging of the Frankenstein story. It follows a genius teenager who wants to bring her dead relatives back to life. However, it comes with consequences that change the neighbourhood forever.
It is always nice to see a new vision for Frankenstein and bringing people back from the dead. This brings fresh motivation, with it being a neighbourhood where people get senselessly killed in gunfire. Our titular angry black girl has seen her unfair share of victims in her family creating her desire to bring them back. There are some gnarly deaths and the vicious nature to the creation warns against getting involved with the subject. This ends up being a great watch and one to check out.
