The All New Menu at Terttulia, Koregaon Park, Pune

Herbed quinoa with baked ratatouille

Wrought iron chairs, bar stools and elegant sofas- all gel together to form the eclectic mix of seating that Terttulia has to offer. Reminiscent of old European charm with antiques adorning the shelves, vintage photos & crates, the décor is fuss free with a splash of color thrown in the form of chandeliers.
The new menu looked very promising and luckily we had Yogendra Salunkhe to guide us through the courses.

Apple cranberry crumble

We started with the salad of roasted beets, goats cheese and arugula. The earthiness of the beets offset with the creamy goats cheese and the crunch of pine nuts all brought together with the acidic tang of the oranges made for a refreshing start to the meal.

Mulled wine

Brie and Mushroom Bruschetta was simple yet tasty with the toast of the bread being spot on. Chicken Tappenade had moist chicken topped with a subtle tapenade wherein neither components were over powering each other. Rosemary Cottage Cheese Kebabs were delicious served with a tangy tamarind chutney to cut through the creaminess of the cottage cheese. Salmon in Labb sauce featured smoked salmon with a sprinkling of crispy rice- it was a complete paradox of textures.

For Mains, I ordered Herbed Quinoa with Baked Ratatouille. My first experience with quinoa was superb. The bold tangy charred ratatouille was the perfect backdrop for the fluffy quinoa. Slow Cooked Red Snapper with Shitake Risotto and Charred Asparagus had the fish cooked to perfection with a creamy well balanced risotto.

Salted caramel pannacotta

Just when I thought that the bar couldn’t be set higher along came Red Wine Braised Lamb Ragout with root veggies and buttered spaghetti. Melt in the mouth lamb pieces in a delicious dark jus with al dente spaghetti was simply yumm. My compliments to Chef Sanjib. I couldn’t wait for my favorite part-dessert.

Sundried tomato prawns

The piece de resistance has got to be salted caramel pannacotta. Rich caramel in perfect harmony with the wobbly pannacotta left me speechless. Hazelnut chocolate mousse cake came in a close second.
