Verdict on The Accursed
The Accursed is a horror mystery that follows a young woman who takes a job as a carer. This is only for a weekend until she can be transferred to a proper facility, but she soon finds herself dealing with a supernatural force.
The movie takes us into the idea that demons are being summoned by people for everlasting life. Following a young woman who has her own demons to deal with helps make the story interesting, as we know how guilty she feels. When it comes to what we end up going up against, this does offer something fresher about dealing with guilt and evil. The effects in the film work well, keeping the shadows feeling haunted and the scares come thick and fast.
Final Thoughts – The Accursed is a scare-filled horror, balancing grief and the supernatural.
