Story: The Abode starts when a Native American Talako (Cypress) clashes with pirate Redbeard (Darsow). Redbeard murders Talako after finding out about the affair between him with Lara (Medina) before she kills herself.

As we head to the modern day, a family welcomes a new daughter who grows up to be a beautiful young woman named Lara. Lara has started to have a series of nightmares about Redbeard and the connection to her past lives starts to come through. 300 years after they first fell in love, the lovers get to meet again for another showdown with their killer.

Verdict on The Abode

The Abode is a horror thriller following a young woman that starts getting haunted by her past lives. It follows her friends getting picked off by an abusive ghost that targeted the family generations ago and now they have a showdown to end it all.

This gets to bring us a different mode of horror, by having the reincarnations coming together in a new battle. We have often seen the odd one or two members, but never a full crew. This side of the story gives us something to follow along with, instead of a typical ghost-haunting slasher movie. There is a nice mystery about the connections and some good scares along the way.

Final Thoughts The Abode has good scares and a unique approach to the story.
