That One Time i Recorded a Podcast.

So, here’s the deal. Great blogging requires vulnerability—letting people see you, the real you, up close and personal. It’s hard. It’s intimate. It kind of feels like standing on a stage in front of the internet in your underwear.

Recording a podcast? That is a whole different story. That feels like standing on a stage naked. Like, WHOA. Next time you meet a person with a podcast (podcast-er? is there a name for this?), you need to say: PROPS.

My friend Sarah invited me to be on her podcast, and it was super fun (and also terrifying). I have determined that I am a much better writer than podcast-er, but I still had a blast chatting about things like marriage and motherhood and friendship and blogging. I was super nervous and stumbled over my words a few times, but overall, it wasn’t a complete train wreck. Ironically, Sarah’s podcast is all about letting go of perfectionism and embracing a B+ life so I guess you could say I totally fit in with my mediocre podcasting skills.

If you have time today, you can listen to the podcast here.

Thanks for having me, Sarah!

p.s. I say “um” approximately 42 times in the first ten minutes, but then I stop being awkward. I promise.
