So this is my first check-in for the Thankfully Reading Weekend and I've been a little slack about updating. Oops..Sorry. I finished A Not So Model Home on Thursday while riding in the car to my aunt's to have Thanksgiving lunch. I started reading A Plague of Lies that afternoon on the way back, and I'm still reading that. I haven't been feeling all that well, so I've been doing more sleeping than reading. It sucks, but the story is starting to pick up now, so I have a feeling, I will be doing some more reading today and tomorrow. What about you guys? Reading anything good? I'm curious to see what you think about what you are reading...
A question I was asked earlier today was what books I am thankful for reading this year? That's a really good question. I tend to have a lot of favorite books and can't pick just a few. Here are some of the books that I really enjoyed this year and am thankful that I got to read...
I really enjoyed The Secret Keeper this year and it was my first Kate Morton book. I can't wait to read the others. I really enjoyed her writing style and the story that sucks you in right at the beginning.
Outlander was by far one of the best books I've read this year. Even though right now I'm irritated with the way the series is headed, this one is still a wonderful read.
I love Ken Follett and Fall of Giants was a fantastic read about WWI. I couldn't put this one down and I really need to get my hands on Winter of the World (the next in the series). Maybe I can get it with the gift cards I will get for Christmas?
So that's some of of the books I'm thankful I got to read so far this year. Which books are you thankful for this year?
