Such a deeply rich and gorgeous showing from Burberry Prorsum for their latest outing, Pre-Fall 2013. Christopher Bailey, the genius behind my beloved Burberry, is truly one of the best designers of our generation.
The collection, showing both womens and menswear, was filled to the brim with the most beautiful textures, all done in an extremely subtle way. From safari-esque giraffe to little splashes of dalmatian, I just loved seeing the different textures mixed together within the same line. Who knew you could make a cohesive collection with both snakeskin AND pony?
The color palette was classic Burberry, with a mix of black, white, and several shades of camel. The colors that were used, royal purples, burgundys, and blues, all had an incredible depth to them, giving the collection a fantastic sense of mystery.
On my fashion bucket list is to own a real proper Burberry trench coat. And I know that if I rocked one of the pitch-perfect coats from this collection, I'd totally look like a spy...
