Testing the Ed Republic Tagline

As we move closer to our beta launch, we've been having a lot of discussion on the Ed Republic tagline. Our internal prototype is using 'A Nation of Learners' as the tagline - among other placements, this phrase is displayed on our homepage, next to our logo, and in the page title. We originally chose 'A Nation of Learners' because we were inspired by how online learning is bringing quality educational content to millions of new learners.
Since then, we've evolved the MVP (minimum viable product) to focus more on the aggregation component and less on the social/community component. Our MVP plan is to integrate a simple comment system, most likely Disqus, and see where that goes. We also want the tagline to better describe our value proposition to users.
We came up with a few candidates and are running some A/B testing this week with Google AdWords and Unbounce to measure conversion. The candidates are:
  1. Discover Online Courses for You
  2. Your Guide to Online Learning
  3. Find the Right Online Courses for You
  4. A Nation of Learners
I personally like #1 and #2, and am very curious to see the results. Google ads are getting pricey, so we can't do this type of testing too often, but we think that investing in optimizing our tagline is definitely worthwhile.
