The majority of the terror groups around the globe have started increasing the number of women that they recruit into their organizations.
Terror groups are on the rise, especially in most of the countries declaring counterterrorism-motivated war.
Terrorism is by no means just an Islamist or Muslim phenomenon anymore.
Some thinkers including philosophers and psychologists have looked at terrorism as an expression of large-scale, deep-rooted social grievances within the Muslim population.
It is affecting all, and suddenly there is more reason to worry as more women are joining terror organizations.
Approximately 10-15 years ago, women were rarely part of these groups that have disturbed peace and inflicted fear to most people especially in the major cities of many nations.
Many women are becoming involved in suicide bombings, and have been used to carry out many attacks in Russia.
Also, women from Sri Lanka, Iraq, Nigeria and now Kenya who are working for terror organizations have been involved in the killing of many people in those countries.
Even though the majority of the terror groups that have been causing mayhem in the past decade are mostly Muslim, this does not necessarily mean they are the only ones capable of forming these terror groups.
The large-scale violence if not tamed is still going to be witnessed, as most of the fundamentalist groups have a wide network all over the world.
Vast areas of Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger have been demolished by Boko Haram.
Somalia also has an Al-Qaida affiliate, al-Shabaab, has been terrorizing Kenya, claiming that Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) are among the Amison who have been deployed in Somalia.
According to them, the al-Shabaab is not justice to have the Kenyan soldiers in Somalia. Nigeria and Kenya are affected by the attacks from Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab militant majority who are women.
According to a report by the RAND Corporation, which has been studying terrorist groups for over 40 years, found that majority of terrorists have increased their recruitment of women.
The report also indicated that the mistreatment or harassment of terrorism suspects are some of the factors that increase terrorist activity and ensure that the vice is perpetuated.
According to the information from various terror groups, this is because women terrorists often get a lot more coverage from the media.
When a terrorist perpetrator is female, the attack trends in all the news in the mainstream media, hence giving the terror organization publicity.
These groups understand this, and it is the main reason why the recruitment of women has increased tremendously.
For instance, a woman involved in many killings in Kenya was shot dead by the country's police.
The news of the killing in cold blood by the Kenyan police was trending on Twitter for almost a whole week, giving publicity to the Gaza group to be recognized worldwide through social media.
According to research conducted by the United Nations, young males and females that are often marginalized from their society have a higher chance of joining terror groups as compared to those who feel part of the mainstream society.
The majority of females in African countries like Kenya, Somalia, Nigeria, Chad and Niger are oppressed by their male counterparts, and also do not have equal freedom.
And because they cannot refuse offers to join criminal terror groups, they are easily lured into being recruited and used to perpetuate crime and terrorism.

Many women have been recruited into the terror group, and now it's being identified as a militia group formed by politicians with the agenda to disrupt the peace of the nation Kenya.
Clare, a young woman who was a ring leader of all the women in the organization, was shot dead by police on May 29, 2017.
After this happened, a woman from Kayole vowed to take over after her friend was killed. Through a Facebook post, she promised to be the next big thug in Nairobi. She is now under investigation.
Gaza has been on the rise recruiting young women for the simple reason that they are always sought after by the mainstream media.
The women are mostly preferred as they are used to carry the weapons that are associated with this organization that is now causing fear among the residents of Kayole.
In early June 2017, three women were killed, and their pictures are now circulating in a Facebook group which is being distributed by someone registered on Facebook with a fake identity.
It is speculated that the Facebook group is made up of police who are leading the fight against the Gaza terror group.
Most women living in the Kayole estate are living in abject poverty, unable to afford even basic needs. Therefore, they're lured into criminal activities.
Many women from Muslim communities go to Syria joining hundreds of other Muslim women who travel from war-torn countries, such as Somalia, and opt to join ISIS and Al-Qaeda.
Mia Bloom, who studies women in terrorism, told CBS News that young women in these regions are being radicalized.
ISIS is now actively ensuring that the organization has more women from war countries like Syria and Somalia.
Though ISIS pretends to be insisting they do house chores like cooking and sewing, the majority of these women who join terror groups are given violent roles to play.
