Teleman’s New Video is a Swirl of Emotions [video]

Like a simplistic and modern take on Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band-era Beatles, Teleman’s “23 Floors Up” is an aurally fixating guitar-pop track with a methodical progression mirrored perfectly in the song’s stark white video. Gliding gently past each of the band’s members through various shapes, textures and movements of white objects, the video creates a blank and slow-moving canvas that allows the triumphant track to flow through. With no real solid storyline but more an examination of a desolate space, the emotion of the carefully constructed song becomes the focal point. By the end, you can really feel that “love is pouring down” as colorful confetti flutters around the brightly dressed band and the dancer swirling around with white feathered fans. Teleman’s debut album, Breakfast, is out now on Moshi Moshi Records. This week they’ll be in New York at Mercury Lounge on September 25th and Glasslands on September 26th.
