Colonial charm galore

Brick red walls, white facades and heritage furniture is aplenty at Teanest Nightingale.  Delightfully done up, the property exudes oodles of old world charm.

Overlooking a large expansive lawn, the colonial bungalow houses four cozy rooms and central dining area.  White doors replete with plain glass panels, high cielings and fire place areas add to the warm vibes.

Rooms and Facilites

Aptly named after cheerful, chirpy birds  including scarlet minivet, hoopoe, emerald dove and magpie robin, the rooms are tastefully done up and rank high on aesthetics and functionality.  The scarlet minivet & hoopoe rooms are duplex and are ideal for families.

They also have a small seating area overlooking the pleasant outdoors. The rooms are replete with facilities like TV, mini bar and tea and coffee maker.

For those interested in sightseeing, there is plenty to see and do in Kotagiri.  Kotagiri is home to the David Sullivan memorial, dedicated to the David Sullivan who is credited with the establishment of the British settlement at Ooty.  He was instrumental in introducing horticulture at the Nilgiris and was largely responsible for the economic development of the district.  Apart from the memorial, Kodanad view point and Catherine falls are some points of interest in the town.  Head over to Ooty and Coonor if you have more time.
