The other half is the fact that this is a well produced, and wonderfully reminiscent track that doesn't try too hard to be what it is. It's not like this lot have set out to be the next Beatles, or the next Tame Impala, or the next big thing that sounds like whatever ... they've simply come together with a great idea in mind, placed it alongside an incredible riff, managed to sprinkle a little bit of sunshine on top too ... and here we are.
It seems to be very much one of those songs that will get your heart racing and make all of the colours outside much more vibrant, despite not really being the most catchy song you'll have heard this year. We mean, think of the hundreds of pop tracks that you've listened to this year. they're, in general, much catchier than this, and you were more likely to buy them than you would this, but actually, we don't reckon they made you feel half as good.
We believe this to be one that, with a little bit of time, will begin to stun audiences of absolute mass. It may take them a little while, but be sure to remember the name, Temples, as we reckon NME will name this album their best of next year.
