Taking the Show on the Road

The brunette twin joined choir this year. She really enjoys being part of the music program, although she didn't want to continue with her band instrument. She decided to try choir. She has really enjoyed all of it.

Just like the middle school band program traveled every year, the high school music program (combining the band and the choir) also travels. There wasn't a freshman year trip, but no one was disappointed. The high school music program was planning a European trip, which would take place at the end of the brunette twin's sophomore year.

We attended the informational meeting tonight. Wow! The trip sounded amazing. We sat through the presentation listening to the travel representative detail each day. She went through the tours and the performances. She talked about travel insurance and meal plans. There were so many details that it was a relief to read the handout and see it all on paper.

Truth be told, I was jealous. I wished I had the opportunity to take a trip like this when I was in high school. It's opportunities like this that make me happy that our girls attend their high school. It's not cheap, but it's truly the trip of a lifetime. I'm glad we can send her on it.
