Story: Take Cover starts when sniper Sam Lorde (Adkins) and spotter Ken (Parr) complete their latest job, despite a minor hiccup. The pair escape and take their rest bite between jobs, until they are called in for the latest one.

When the guys check into the penthouse, they find themselves dealing with a sniper hunting them down. They contact their boss Tamara (Eve) as they search for a solution to escape the situation.

Verdict on Take Cover

Take Cover is an action thriller following a sniper who wants to walk away from the assassin’s life. He agrees to one more job but finds himself targeted by a shooting. The sniper must use his knowledge of what a shooter does to keep the people in the penthouse alive.

This movie takes the idea of a group of victims being targeted by a sniper. We have seen this in movies like ‘The Wall’ and ‘Phone Booth’ and it helps keep the action contained. This still gives Scott Adkins his moments to shine in his action speciality but holds back for more tension. The movie puts more focus on Sam’s motivation to enter the line of work and doesn’t leave too much imagination into keeping us on edge as to who is behind it.
