Taco Bell is currently testing out the Waffle Taco as a possible breakfast item in at least one Southern California location. Initially reported by Brand Eating, Instagrammer Sarah1ch5 took a photo of the fabled Waffle Taco while passing through a Taco Bell in Santa Ana, proving the fluffy breakfast taco does in fact exist. Her response, “It was awesome!””
Well no shit it was awesome. Seriously guys, Waffle Taco? Um, yes please. I’ll take 5 to go. Do you see this shit? I might run home and make these for dinner tonight. Imagine drizzling some real maple syrup on this joint right here. Pretty much a straight orgasm happening in your mouth with each bite. I can’t even lie either, I’m hating on Southern California hard right now. Being 3,000 miles from one of these things is just killing me. If I could try one of these right now I would, but instead I’ve got to hope they catch on in Cali and then make it out east. I need this in my life immediately! Road trip?
P.S. If they do the breakfast side right they might absolutely change the game. Jordan had Pippen, Kareem had Magic and the Waffle Taco is going to need a legit number two. Maybe they go safe with a hasbrown or hashbrown bites like their competitors, or maybe they flip the game on its head and go cornbread. Either way, I’m already salivating.
