Woolacombe Bay Hotel is one of my favorite places to go on my wedding fair calendar.  True I have been blessed with great weather each time I’ve been there which is very handy on the coast.  Woolacombe is a fantastic little coastal resort on the north coast of Devon, famed for its long sandy beach and surfing.  Woolacombe Bay Hotel is a Victorian hotel with a prime position with nothing but its own pool and golf course in the way of it and the sandy beach that stretches along the bay.  It’s a beautiful beach, was blessed to see the sunset from the coastal path overlooking it last time I was there.

The hotel itself is luxurious inside and has a large ballroom with high ceilings that is a great setting for a wedding celebration.  Other rooms allow you to tie the knot with the Atlantic in the background while you and your guests can be spoilt in luxury throughout the day.

Why am I talking about Woolacombe Bay Hotel?  Firstly, I really like the place.  Secondly I do illustrate wedding venues as a part of my wedding invitation and stationery designs.  They can be the central part of the design or an element within it.  On that note I want to share an image of a canvas table plan design featuring Woolacombe Bay Hotel.  This is from my Coast collection which features a seaside beach scene with a beach, beach huts, groins, a sign which lets me put in the bride and grooms name as well as optional bunting across the top.  In this design you can see the Woolacombe Bay Hotel on the hills behind.  The designs are really flexible and I normally change the colours of the buildings, beach huts, signs and bunting to tie in with any colours being used in the wedding.  I like the canvas table plans as they make great keepsakes and come ready to hang after the wedding.
