Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja who has become the darling of masses in his own way returns with another film Balupu after a reasonable gap. The movie touted to be an action entertainer will bring him back to what he does best, entertain. Director Gopichand Malineni who made his debut with the Ravi Teja starrer Don Seenu is helming this projects which marks the debut of PVP Cinemas into Telugu market. With Shruti Haasan and Anjali in tow and a popular score by Thaman, can this film end the dry spell of Mass Maharaja? Let’s see its strengths and weaknesses.

Strength:
Balupu is the first big release after almost a month. And the well cut theatrical trailer has given this Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja flick a chance to open big at the cinemas cashing in on this big near month gap.

Balupu promises rollicking entertainment and this will be the biggest strength of the film.

Songs given by SS Thaman have proven to be winners with the movie loving audience and the layman as well. It is therefore expected to be a big boost to the movie.

Balupu being the first release of heroine Shruti Haasan after the blockbuster success of Gabbar Singh in Telugu has given additional hype to the film along with her oomph.

Weakness:
The lean patch of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja at the box office might prove to be a deterrent in the initial rounds to get the viewers in.

Opportunity:
The cautious approach from the audience looking at the recent track record of the actor and director could work in the film’s favor in reducing the expectation. Less expectations generally and almost all the time helps a decent film to get great success which is what could be repeated here too.

A break from the streak of non performers, for Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja at the box office and simultaneously establishing Gopichand Malineni as a director to reckon with.

Shruti Haasan can continuing her winning streak started with Gabbar Singh and look forward to a bright career ahead.

Threat:
Release of another anticipated biggie in the coming week and the week after it could prove a big dampener on the box office performance if the film fails to get the desirable talk upon its release. It would have no time for the talk to improve due to the choc-o-bloc release schedule ahead.
