Amy is one fashion blogger out of Dallas TX you should follow regularly.
Women’s Swimwear is probably the most frustrating and stressful apparel to shop for. That’s why we’ve been reaching out to bloggers who we like to describe as fashion leaders.
A fashion leader is a person who influences the styles of not just their own readers but a person who can have even the slightest impact on how women see themselves and can influence the fashion industry as a whole. At SwimsuitsDirect.com we are always looking to speak with and learn from these fashion leaders to share with our swimsuit customers. So we’re excited to share with you the next installment of our ongoing fashion blogger interview series, SwimTalk.
Amy Havins of The Dallas Wardrobe is this week’s fashion blogger. As you could probably figure by her blog’s name Amy hails from Dallas where she has always loved all things that are beautiful and stylish. Although she officially launched Dallas Wardrobe in 2011, Amy has been showcasing her personal style and helping others find theirs since she was a young girl. She has a very modern chic style, and what’s great about it is that it is easy for a reader to duplicate. She has very down to earth outfits that most women can find fashion inspiration in.
1) What drew you to the world of fashion?
I have always loved fashion and every since I have known that I wanted to take work in that world.
2) How do styles differ in Dallas compared to cities like New York or L.A.?
Dallas is majority conservative. Less is always more!
Amy’s simple but chic style works with every woman
3) What do you think about apparel shopping online vs. shopping in an actual store?
I love shopping online. Not only is it convenient but there are always so many more options
4) Any advice for online swimwear shoppers?
Don’t be afraid to branch out–try a new style!
5) How many swimsuits do you own?
Too many.
6) What is your favorite style of bathing suit?
Bandeau bikini! you never get crazy tan lines

7) How often do you get a new swimsuit? And how often do you recommend getting new pieces?
Every season or before a beach trip. I think it is on a case by case basis. Whenever the bottoms or top begin to pill that’s when it is time to get rid of the suit
8) The great swimsuit debate, solids or prints which do you prefer and why?
Tough question since I own plenty of both. It really just depends on my mood
9) Who is your favorite swimsuit designer and why?
I really don’t have a favorite because every designer does something different every season but a few of my personal favorites are Zinke, Shoshanna, Radio Fiji & Victoria Secret
10) What are your favorite beach or poolside accessories?
Pretty cover up & big hat
11) Describe your perfect poolside outfit.
Bandeau bikini, tunic and a big hat
12)What advice do you have for finding the ideal swimwear?
Go with what you know fits your body not what you think is on trend or looks good on the model!
13) Many women and young girls often feel insecure when it comes to wearing a swimsuit. What advice do you have for them to strut their stuff and put on their swimwear with confidence?
If you don’t like it do something about it, otherwise own it.
