Here is the best immunity boosting snack for your kids which is extremely yummy and nutritious!  Sweet Makhana Recipe for Kids is easy to make and is the best snack that kids can ever have. The other name for Makhana is fox nuts. Makhana is rich in calcium, protein and fiber which are crucial for the healthy development of kids. These wholesome seeds are good to improve digestive health and appetite. Please make sure that the jaggery you use is authentic.  We have used My little moppet’s organic jaggery which is free from added preservatives, synthetic colors and artificial flavoring. This snack not only tastes delicious, but also extremely beneficial for growing kids.

Sweet Makhana Recipe for Kids

Ingredients:

  • Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Makhana – 2 cup
  • Jaggery – 125 g or 1/2 cup
  • Elaichi powder – 1/4 tsp

Directions:

1. Heat 1 teaspoon of ghee in a pan.

2. Dry roast makhana till it becomes crisp.

3. Transfer and Let it cool.

4. On low flame add 1 tsp of ghee.

5. Add jaggery and little water, mix well.

6. Add elaichi powder.

7. Keep stirring till string consistency is obtained.

8. Add makhana and stir till it coats well.

9. Transfer to big plate, let it cool for few minutes and separate each makhana.

10. Sweet makhana is ready!
