Sweating for the Wedding

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
As most of you know, I recently got engaged...woo! You also probably know that most (if not every) woman wants to look and feel her best on her & her husband's wedding day. Well I'm no different. So enter:

Every Monday, I'm going to post my workouts and meals from the previous week. I really think this will help keep me on track and hold me accountable. Plus, a lot of y'all ask what kind of things I eat and how I workout. Look at that...two birds with one stone!
At the beginning of this year, I worked really hard and was on top of my eating 85-90% of the time. I had a goal - I wanted to look and feel a certain way by the time I received my personal trainer certification. Since then, I've started school and moved. And I'm going to be honest with y'all...my eating habits kind of took a back seat. I still workout 6 days a week, but I have not been making the time to prepare and eat healthy meals.
Life happens. I was busy moving, doing homework, and other life things (such as surgery, bachelorette parties, road trips, etc). I'm not making excuses. I just want y'all to know that I'm human, too. I don't always make the healthiest choices, and sometimes I do backslide. But you know what? That just means I get to work really hard again to get where I want to be! I have a new goal (looking hot for the wedding, duh) that I'm working toward. And I think that's really important to keep in mind. Having a goal really helps keep me on track and push myself harder.
More so than looks, I miss how I felt when I was eating a cleaner, more whole diet. I had more energy. I slept better. My skin was clearer. And I didn't feel...so soft to the touch. Hear me out. I know that I am still "fit" and I don't think by any means that I'm "fat." I just want to monitor what I'm putting in my body more consistently. I want to make healthy choices. I want my body to be the best that it can be so that I feel the best that I can feel.
Here is my goal, and my current status:

Note that I don't have my weight on there. I honestly have NO idea how much I weigh and quite frankly, I don't care. I care about looking AND feeling fabulous. It just works better for me.
I don't think it will take me too long to look and feel how I did in June. But I want to start now (our wedding is in just under six months), because I want to feel good on the wedding day, not just look good.
So every Monday look for: - My workouts from the past week - My meals from the past week - An updated picture so y'all can see the progress I'm making toward my goal
Oh and how can I forget?! I bought a super cute tank to motivate me:

You can purchase the tank here.
