The Criminal Investigation Department said that the shooter who targeted a person in the Mount Lavinia Magistrate Court and the person who led it were arrested yesterday.

The shooting took place on August 4 last year, and no one was injured, the police said, adding that the shooter also shot in the air and fled. The Public Complaints Division of the CID conducted the investigations into this incident on the orders of IGP C.D.Wickremaratne.When questioning the suspect, it has been revealed that this shooting has been planned by underworld gangster Ruwan who is in hiding in Dubai. Police said that Ruwan is a close associate of Harak Kata.
