Support James Thurlow on His C2C Run For Diabetes

By Rob Howard @adventurenet
James Thurlow, the Race Director at Open Adventure, is about to set out to run the classic UK Coast to Coast route from Robin Hood’s Bay, across the North York Moors and Dales, then crossing the Lake District to end up in St. Bees.

The route is 190 miles with 8700m of ascent and having been recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes his challenge is as much about beating personal demons as it is to raise money for diabetes research.

James is asking people to donate to his cause and also guess how long he’ll take, which you can do at http://www.howfast.org/. (There is a valuable gear prize donated by various sponsors for the closest guess.)

James has been at the heart of Adventure Racing in the UK for many years now and put a lot into the sport, giving many people the chance to get out into the great outdoors. Please give him your support.

You can follow his progress through the website and get updates as well.
